CW welcomes two new trial lawyers, promotes two more to counsel
June 2026
CW is proud to announce that two trial lawyers, Laura Lively and Camille Fenton, have joined the firm, while Liz Grden and Rachael Robinson have been promoted to counsel in recognition of their outstanding contributions. Together, these moves reflect CW's commitment to attracting, retaining, and developing world-class trial lawyers who can handle civil and criminal actions of the highest stakes.
Laura joins the firm as counsel. She has represented clients on both sides of complex commercial disputes in arbitral tribunals and federal and state courts throughout the country. She has a track record of prevailing on behalf of private and public entities in consumer class actions and data privacy, intellectual property, and nuanced business disputes, particularly those that test an entity's reputation and bottom line. Outside of the courtroom, Laura is called on to conduct internal and government-facing investigations for clients facing scrutiny from federal law enforcement and regulatory agencies. Prior to joining CW, Laura worked as a litigator at Morrison & Foerster and King & Spalding.
"I'm looking forward to fostering my practice alongside this stellar group of lawyers who value client relationships and entrepreneurial lawyering," Laura said. "Joining Cohen Williams gives me the opportunity to capitalize on what I love about the practice of law: working closely and collaboratively with my clients to develop and execute winning strategies."
Camille focuses on white collar criminal defense and investigations. As a former federal public defender, she brings first-chair trial experience and investigation skills to her work for clients facing potential criminal penalties. During her time at the public defender's office, she managed a full caseload of felony federal criminal cases from trial through appeal, including drafting appellate briefs and arguing before the Ninth Circuit. Before that, she served as the investigations supervisor for the Brooklyn Defender Services, investigating nearly 500 felony cases every year.
Camille commented, "Private practice was not in my plans until I encountered Cohen Williams, which really stood out from other firms. Many of the lawyers here have backgrounds in public defense and public interest work. I could see how strongly their values have shaped the culture of the firm. I was also drawn to the caliber of those who work here. Everyone I met was exceptionally smart, and I was excited by the idea of working alongside them. I'm looking forward to starting my next chapter at CW."
In their roles as counsel, Liz and Rachael will strengthen CW's ability to provide clients with exceptional representation in complex commercial disputes, government enforcement actions, criminal proceedings, and appeals.
