Alyssa Bell and Kathleen Erskine named "Top Women Lawyers" by Daily Journal
May 2025
The Daily Journal announced that CW partners Alyssa Bell and Kathleen Erskine have been named to its "Top Women Lawyers" list for 2025, which recognizes California's 100 most influential women attorneys of the year.
Alyssa is a noted white collar and appellate practitioner who excels at litigating groundbreaking issues of statutory construction—including novel interpretations of the federal bribery and honest services fraud statutes, First Amendment issues critical to the separation of church and state, and novel theories under California's Uniform Electronic Transactions Act—in state and federal courts of appeal. Her Ninth Circuit experience is especially extensive, including regular arguments before the court and over 100 appearances as counsel of record.
Katy, the former Chair of the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Labor & Employment Law Section, is one of the few lawyers in Los Angeles who represents both employers and employees. Clients rely on her to help them navigate the complexities of employment law while shielding their reputation from harm in a wide range of employment-related matters, including discrimination, harassment, and retaliation cases, and complex business disputes involving trade secrets and restrictive covenants.
